Unfortunately this volume is not the second volume of Marcus Dods's translation, as indicated; this volume is translated by John Healey.
The whole title reads as follows:"
The City of God(De Civitate Dei) by Saint Augustine,A Translation into English by John Healey,first Published in 1610."
Printed by John Grant,Edinburgh, 1909.
This version, rather than a modern translation, is probably the oldest English translation in English!
